Working with Leather Cord

After beading, leather cord became the next medium I used to create jewelry. I found I moved away from it after my interest in beads grew. I forgot that in its own way, it allows for versatility and creativity. Without even thinking about it, I realised only yesterday that some of my recent pieces have incorporated necklaces and bracelets made from leather cord.

Leather cord comes in many different colours, sizes, flat lace, rounded, and it can be used to create beautiful jewelry for men, ladies and children.

First pieces created included adjustable and wrap bracelets.

Pieces made in 2017.

These are random photos of different styles of leather for jewelry making:-

A few of my favourite things

“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
Brown paper packages tied up with strings,
These are a few of my favorite things.”

I am sure you know this song – especially if you are 40+ years of age 🙂

However, some of my favorite things include…

BEADS!!!

2017 Colour Coded campaign – Take a glance

“Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.”— C. S. Lewis

Today’s post features all of the currently available pieces for the 2017 Colour Coded Campaign here on UYJ. I  have listed them in the main tab bar of the website 2017 Colour Coded, and to the right column under Menu. To the below pictures, I have added a selection of previously unsold jewelry from Christmas 2016.

Each design was made by yours truly, Natasha (or Tasha as I am usually called) and will certainly make lovely gifts or for your own pleasure.

The caption beneath each photo takes you directly to the relevant post.

For details on pricing and other information, please drop me an email at tasha76d@gmail.com or use the form provided below.

Thank you and have a lovely day!

Project: Get to work!

I am not one to rush a project.

I can take a while to decide what I want to do with a string of beads. So often there are just too many ideas and it is very difficult to decide on what theme, components, colour scheme, etc.

You might recall that earlier this month, I blogged on the selection of beads from the Bead Bazaar in Miami, FL.

The next series of posts shows several bracelets made from this lot, catering to both guys and gals.

Unless otherwise indicated, the pieces showcased are on sale at the prices listed.

As usual, I welcome your feedback. Leave me your comments or orders here. Or, email me at tasha76d@gmail.com.

Thank you!!
