Of Agates and Gifts

Birthdays are special occasions. Time for celebrations with family and friends, and for giving gorgeous gifts!

Client requested a gift that was equally chic as it was unique. This combo featured gold luster leather cord for both the bracelet and necklace.

The timeless design of the bracelet and its versatility makes a sure bet for any day of the week. The three strand design gives robust support for the delicate coral-hued agate, with its large veins throughout. The brass toned clasp makes it easy to close. There are a number of gold components including two spiral gold spacers which are wire-wrapped on either side of the focal agate.

The statement necklace is equally striking. The coral-hued stone is up front and center and is securely wire-wrapped onto a single cord. On either side are strategic embellishments – Tibetan dzi agates, spiral spacers and caramel-coloured glass discs. To fasten the necklace, one end of the gold cord forms a loop which is placed over a glass bead. Continue reading

Anchor Away! #sold

Hi all! Thanks for your comments on the last set of pieces I posted. I appreciate your feedback tremendously.

This next bracelet was part and parcel of my work showcased at the Garden Party and sold. At UYJ, I like to offer options and to challenge myself to do new things, seemingly more time consuming things, too 🙂  But there is much joy in completing what at first seemed difficult.

If you like and are interested in owning something similar or in different colours perhaps, drop me a line!! I’d be happy to assist.

Colour coded – Black magic

Sparkly silver and black always make a good mix and can be worn day or night.  My preference is night time.

This stack of three features different sizes and shapes including an oval Czech Jet Picasso bead.

This was my first attempt at making my own tassel from soft cotton thread and it was not very difficult at all.

This set of stackables is still available for purchase. For further details, please use the form below or contact directly via tasha76d@gmail.com

Colour coded – Icy Blues

When compared to red, blue is a little more calming, soothing; and, it is one of my favorite colours.

Different shaped beads, sizes and hues of blues make this stack of three charming and very appealing to the eye.

Two charms depict water a theme – small fish and dolphin. The other charm is the treble clef, for the music lovers out there.

These bracelets are still available for purchase. For further details, please use the form below or contact directly via tasha76d@gmail.com

Gold accents

Gold accents can certainly lift an outfit or a piece of jewelry. Some persons also choose gold because of the way it complements their skin tone.

For Christmas things appear shinier, brighter and more appealing. For the following pieces I moved out of my comfort zone – I tend to love sterling silver, my skin tone is more toward the cool side.

With the exception of the turquoise faceted gemstones, the other designs are spoken for.

Stacking

Just a photo with some of my personal collection. The bracelet with the large beads I made recently. Bought the beads from Bead Weavers store in Christ Church. They had a small lot of mixed beads so this scheme worked out well.

Stacking really is nothing new nor does it take a whole lot of thinking or science behind it. For me, sometimes I pick a bracelet based on colour and my outfit for the day. I tend to follow that rule for work. This was the case last week when I snapped this photo. The blues and greys.

Any other time I am out and about, it is what my heart desires really.

I will take some more photos as time goes by.

Thanks for reading! If you stack, why not add a photo of your fave arm candy!
