Gold accents

Gold accents can certainly lift an outfit or a piece of jewelry. Some persons also choose gold because of the way it complements their skin tone.

For Christmas things appear shinier, brighter and more appealing. For the following pieces I moved out of my comfort zone – I tend to love sterling silver, my skin tone is more toward the cool side.

With the exception of the turquoise faceted gemstones, the other designs are spoken for.

Teal bracelet and earrings

Continuing the teal trend.

Faceted teal bead separated by deep purple beads, both on the bracelet and the earrings. The bead has hints of a brassy bronze, gold and deep red hues. Quite a beauty! It was easier to use gold ear wires on the earrings and a brass-toned toggle clasp to close the bracelet.

Project: Get to work!

I am not one to rush a project.

I can take a while to decide what I want to do with a string of beads. So often there are just too many ideas and it is very difficult to decide on what theme, components, colour scheme, etc.

You might recall that earlier this month, I blogged on the selection of beads from the Bead Bazaar in Miami, FL.

The next series of posts shows several bracelets made from this lot, catering to both guys and gals.
